* Unfortunate news to announce

We have some unfortunate news to announce. Dave Thomas, who was scheduled to give a keynote at this year’s RubyKaigi, has regretfully informed us that he will not be able to make it. As such, Dave’s keynote is cancelled. To everyone who was eagerly awaiting his keynote, we deeply apologize (and we join you in missing him).

We are still discussing how to use the time allotted for the first keynote. It is likely we will not be able to conclude this matter before the tickets go on sale next week, but plan to announce something in the near future.
